Victor Sales de Figueiredo is an Associate in Goldberg Kohn's Commercial Finance practice. He represents banks, finance companies and other financial institutions in structuring, documenting and negotiating a broad range of complex commercial finance transactions.

Victor joined Goldberg Kohn in August 2024 after completing his LL.M in Capital Markets from the University of Chicago Law School.

Before pursuing his LL.M in Chicago, Victor was Senior Counsel with BNY in São&nbsp;Paulo, Brazil. While there, he handled all regulatory demands, inquiries and investigations of investment funds with regulatory bodies such as CVM (Brazilian SEC), Brazilian CentralBank and ANBIMA (self-regulatory entity), and all new regulations issued by them. He advised more than 25 asset management companies, which jointly had approximately BRL 180 billion ($36 billion USD) under their management, and coordinated operations of mutual and alternative investment funds. He also, among other tasks, drafted and reviewed bylaws of the funds, underwriting agreements, management agreements, custody agreements, administration agreements, distribution agreements, prospectus and offering memorandum.

In addition to BNY, Victor previously held counsel positions with Apex Group Ltd. in São&nbsp;Paulo, as well as Demori Claudino Advogados and Docas Investimentos S/A in Rio de Janeiro.

Victor is fluent in Portuguese and speaks Spanish.
