Overview

Marques Winick is an Associate in the firm's Commercial Finance Group. He represents banks and other financial institutions in a wide range of asset-based and cash-flow loans, secured and unsecured lending transactions, and first and second-lien facilities across a broad range of industries. 

Prior to joining Goldberg Kohn in December 2021, Marques practiced in the Chicago office of an international law firm where he represented banks, private equity firms and other financial institutions in asset-based and cash-flow secured and unsecured lending transactions, as well as in middle-market mergers and acquisitions. 

Marques is a member of the firm's Associate Task Force and has been an active participant in firm pro bono service programs. In June 2024, he was named a Rising Star Award recipient by the National Immigrant Justice Center for his generosity in providing high quality pro bono services to NIJC clients.

Experience

  • Represented administrative agent in connection with $986 million senior secured credit facilities to provide financing for a rapidly growing national healthcare platform. 
  • Represented term lenders in providing $91 million term loan facilities as part of a $101 million split-lien financing in connection with an acquisition of distressed debt by a large international bank. 
  • Represented administrative agent in connection with a $50 million asset-based credit facility with borrowers in the United States and Canada. 
  • Represented administrative agent and term lender in providing $122 million term loan facilities as part of a $222 million split-lien financing of a commercial roofing supply company. 
  • Represented first-out lender and administrative agent in the provision of a $47 million unitranche credit facility to an internet resale business. 
  • Represented administrative agent in connection with a $530 million asset-based credit facility with lenders in the United States and Switzerland, and borrowers in the United States, Switzerland and Australia.
