On August 12, 2020, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals denied the Trump Administration's petition for rehearing <em>Cook County v. Wolf en banc</em> of its June 10, 2020 opinion affirming the District Court's entry of a preliminary injunction in favor of Cook County in the public charge litigation. The government has until November 18, 2020, to file a petition for a <em>writ of certiorari</em> before the United States Supreme Court.
