A Goldberg Kohn and Mesirow Financial deal team took top honors in two categories at the recent M&amp;A Advisor’s 4th Annual Distressed Investing Conference and Turnaround Awards Gala.&nbsp;

Our deal team&nbsp;won both&nbsp;"Distressed M&amp;A Deal of the Year (Below $100&nbsp;million)"&nbsp;and the&nbsp;"Media, Entertainment and Telecom Deal of the Year"&nbsp;for the 2009 acquisition of Sun-Times Media Group.

Deals&nbsp;were&nbsp;evaluated on their importance to the industry, creativity and resourcefulness, and perseverance. An independent body of experts, who represented a cross-section of the turnaround industry,&nbsp;determined the recipients.&nbsp; Finalists represented over 30 firms in 27 categories in the distressed investing, restructuring and turnaround marketplace.
