Kauffman</a></strong> has joined Goldberg Kohn as Of Counsel in the firm's Charter Schools, Labor &amp; Employment and Litigation groups. A former General Counsel at two school systems, including most recently a high-performing charter school network, Peter has a wealth of experience advising schools on traditional labor law, employment law, litigation and other general legal matters that they encounter.

Peter began his legal career as a litigation associate at a global law firm. While there, he provided pro bono counsel on education-focused public impact litigation, legislation and direct advocacy.

Beyond his legal background, he has worked as a charter school teacher and school board member, and has had significant training and experience in nonprofit leadership and education policy.

Peter earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2013 and his B.A. from The University of Chicago in 2008.
